Description

Our Life Skills Portal is a national resource designed to support foster youth who are aging out of foster care and transitioning to independence. It provides essential guidance on topics like financial literacy, job preparation, health and wellness, and more—all in an easy-to-access format.

What makes our portal unique? Most of the content is written peer-to-peer, meaning young adults like you are sharing insights and advice to help others. We would love for you to contribute!

What Your Submission Includes:

  • An Article – Can be in any format, but Q&A or bullet points are best for easy reading. Content should be simple, clear, and written for a low-level reader.  Keep it VERY brief.
  • An Infographic – A visual summary of the article’s key points. Submit a Canva share link, and we’ll add branding before publishing.
  • A 2-3 Minute Video – Short and engaging—can be any style --> a TikTok, Reel, Instagram-style video, an animated clip, an educational PowerPoint set to music, or simply you teaching on camera. Your video can be a skit, a tutorial, or an instructional presentation with graphics.
